Built for operations teams

Document data extraction built into the form.

Define the fields you need, let respondents provide PDFs, images, or text, and review the AI-populated record before it is submitted.

Short answer

What this workflow does

An AI document data extraction form combines document upload with a predefined data schema. Instead of returning an opaque transcript, DodoForm proposes values inside editable form fields so a respondent can validate the structured result before submission.

The pain

  • OCR text still needs to be mapped into business fields.
  • Generic extraction produces data your workflow does not need.
  • Unreviewed automation can pass document mistakes downstream.

How DodoForm solves it

  • Use your form fields as the extraction target.
  • Accept PDFs, images, and supporting freeform text in one flow.
  • Make the structured output visible and editable before submission.

How schema-guided document extraction works

1

Define fields

Create the exact names, dates, identifiers, totals, and categories your process requires.

2

Collect documents

A respondent uploads PDFs or images and can add clarifying text.

3

Extract to schema

AI proposes values only for the fields available in the form.

4

Human validation

The respondent reviews, corrects, and submits the structured record.

Frequently asked questions

Is document extraction the same as OCR?

No. OCR turns an image into text. Structured extraction also maps relevant parts of that text into named fields such as invoice number, date, or total.

Can I choose which fields AI extracts?

Yes. The existing form schema determines the fields DodoForm attempts to populate.

Is extracted data guaranteed to be correct?

No AI extraction is guaranteed. DodoForm keeps the fields editable and requires human review before submission.
